Tobacco

People have enjoyed the mind-altering affects of tobacco for centuries.

In fact, experts believe that tobacco, as we know it, was growing in the Americas as far back as 6000 BCE.

The origin of the tobacco plant is considered a sacred gift by first inhabitant nations. Ceremonial use of tobacco continues today by many tribes of indigenous people.

Today's cigarettes have been altered by the Tobacco Industry to guarantee rapid addiction to nicotine.

On August 29, 2006, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced that in a six year period, 1998 to 2004, the tobacco industry increased the amount of nicotine that an average cigarette smoker inhales by 10%.
