The North Country Tobacco Cessation Center is a resource for healthcare practitioners and practices. Two levels of service are available at no cost:
Gold Level
- This level is for healthcare professionals that want to insure that their organization is providing the most effective treatment available for their patients that use tobacco products. An outcome of this partnership will be the institutionalization of an office system that prompts and documents the tobacco use status of each patient and their treatment. (JCAHO/Medicare compliant)
Silver Level
- This level is for healthcare professionals that want to enhance their effectiveness in treating patients that use tobacco products. Silver Level partners have the opportunity to choose among a smorgasbord of services.
All services offered by the NC Tobacco Cessation Center are based on the evidence based recommendations in the US Public Health Service, Clinical Practice Guidelines Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence, USPHS, 2008.
