The North Country Tobacco Cessation Center (NC Cessation Center) is one of 19 Cessation Centers in NYS funded by the New York State Tobacco Control Program.
In 2004, the NC Cessation Center was established as a resource for healthcare professionals, tobacco users and interested members of the community. The Cessation Center's service area covers the Adirondack region of NYS - Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton counties.
In addition, the NC Cessation Center is closely associated with the Tobacco Cessation Center of Northern New York. This Cessation Center, centered at Carthage Area Hospital, serves Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. Similar services are delivered by each Cessation Center and staffs retain a close working relationship.
